Author Mitch Albom ’79 experienced Brandeis’ most well-known mentor-mentee relationship with his former sociology professor, Morrie Schwartz. The pair lost touch after Brandeis but reconnected when Mitch saw his former professor on television talking about what it was like to die of ALS. Mitch visited Morrie weekly until his death; their conversations, and the lessons Mitch learned, were the basis for his best-selling memoir, “Tuesdays with Morrie.” As Mitch put it, “Those Tuesdays changed my world and my outlook on what really matters.”

We know Mitch isn’t alone in having had a meaningful, lasting connection with a Brandeisian. Complete the form below to share your story.
