Love Brandeis? You should be an Alumni Ambassador!

The new Brandeis Alumni Ambassador Program is designed to engage alumni in strengthening the Brandeis community, fostering professional connections, and enhancing the university's impact. We are seeking graduates of any degree program to become official Alumni Ambassadors for the university, helping to represent, expand, and engage a robust network of more than 65,000 Brandeisians across the globe. As an Alumni Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to stay connected with your alma mater, network with fellow alumni, and participate in initiatives that support the ongoing success of the university.

What is an Alumni Ambassador?

An Alumni Ambassador is a Brandeis graduate who actively participates in representing, promoting, and strengthening the university's community. As an ambassador, you help to:

  • Promote Brandeis Initiatives: Spread the word about Brandeis’ programs and initiatives within your professional and/or social circles. Help raise awareness of Brandeis’ growth and accomplishments within the alumni network and the wider community.
  • Share Good News from Brandeis: Amplify exciting news and updates by sharing emails and social media posts with your Brandeis friends and classmates.
  • Strengthen the Brandeis Community: Foster a sense of community among Brandeis graduates by helping to welcome new graduates to the Alumni Association, congratulating alumni on professional milestones and accomplishments, thanking alumni for their engagement with the university, and connecting with students (future alumni).
  • Reach as many alumni as possible: Encourage fellow Brandeisians to pay attention to their alma mater! Encourage your friends to follow the Alumni Association on social media, read their Brandeis emails, and make sure their contact information is updated regularly.

Who can apply for the Alumni Ambassador Program?

Any Brandeis alumnus is eligible to apply for the Alumni Ambassador Program. We welcome undergraduate and graduate alumni from all class years, backgrounds, professions, and geographic locations - your experience and expertise are valuable assets to the community.

What is the time commitment?

The time commitment for being an Alumni Ambassador is flexible, however, all ambassadors are asked to commit at least 2 hours per quarter to Brandeis. Whether you’re hosting an event, reaching out to fellow alumni, or connecting with a student online, there are opportunities that fit various levels of involvement.

We ask that ambassadors commit to a two-year term, which is renewable.

How will I know what to do once I become an ambassador?

Brandeis Alumni Relations staff and Alumni Board volunteers will provide the following support:

  • Alumni Ambassador training and orientation materials
  • Host regular Alumni Ambassador meetings
  • Email updates on events, programs, and initiatives
  • Serve as a point of contact and resource for ambassadors
