Brandeis alumna Karen Rogol ’98 has been appointed Assistant Vice President, Alumni Relations. She succeeds Patsy Fisher, who is retiring after 12 years at the helm.

A dedicated alumna and longtime industry leader, Rogol brings deep institutional knowledge, strong alumni and volunteer relationships, and a longstanding commitment to Brandeis’ mission to the role. She previously served as Senior Director of Alumni Relations, where she partnered closely with the Alumni Association Board of Directors to advance engagement initiatives across regions, generations, and affinity groups.

"I am thrilled for Karen and for Brandeis,” says Amy Cohen ’85, president of the Alumni Association. “She is an outstanding collaborator, strategic thinker, and community builder with a deep understanding of our alumni.”

In her new role, Rogol will serve as the University’s chief alumni engagement officer, providing strategic leadership for Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association. She will work closely with Institutional Advancement colleagues and campus partners to strengthen alumni connections, steward volunteer leaders, and align engagement strategies with the University’s long-term priorities.

“Brandeis has been an integral part of my life since I was an undergraduate,” says Rogol, who holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and sociology.  “I am excited to serve my alma mater and my fellow alumni in this new capacity.”

“Karen’s leadership reflects the best of Brandeis. Thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply rooted in our founding values,” said Stephen Rodriguez, interim deputy vice president for Institutional Advancement. “Her experience and relationships will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen alumni engagement in support of the University’s future.”
