The two-year award strengthens Brandeis’ ability to expand need-based aid and open doors for more undergraduates
Brandeis University has received a $450,000 grant from Santander US to support financial aid for undergraduate students. The two-year grant will be vital to
Brandeis’ ability to meet undergraduate financial need and to fulfill the Brandeis Commitment, an initiative that provides full tuition for students from families whose annual income is less than $75,000 and half tuition for those making under $200,000 annually.
Financial aid has the potential to transform lives, opening doors for many talented students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a Brandeis education. Last year, 65% of Brandeis undergraduates received some form of financial aid. The university extends its gratitude to Santander US for their commitment to Brandeis, and for its longstanding global investment in higher education.
Brandeis joins more than 30 U.S. colleges and universities benefiting from Santander’s $13 million investment in higher education. The investment represents the next phase of Santander’s broader $25 million commitment to education, employability, and entrepreneurship, which supports programs designed to expand access to higher education and create pathways to opportunity.
Mike Bruno, Region President of Santander Bank, N.A. stated, “At Santander, we believe in creating opportunities that help every student succeed. Through our partnership with Brandeis, we are proud to support initiatives that provide students with the resources, programs, and experiences that make a meaningful difference in their education and future careers.”
