Dermatologist Harold Lancer ’75 Honored for Work With Hollywood Stars

February 27, 2017

World-renowned dermatologist Harold Lancer ’75, whose patients include Beyoncé, Margot Robbie, Victoria Beckham, Michelle Williams and Kim Kardashian, received the Beauty Enhancement Award at the third annual Hollywood Beauty Awards.

The black-tie dinner gala on Feb. 19 celebrated the achievements of architects of beauty in hair, makeup, photography and styling for film, TV and music, as well as for the red carpet and editorial.

Lancer has a global patient base of more than 30,000 people who are devotees of his Lancer Skincare line.

“I’m thrilled to have been honored at the Hollywood Beauty Awards,” Lancer says. “My patients are always my first priority, and Im passionate about changing the way people think about their skin.”

Lancer has been interested in skincare since he suffered severe burns over 10 percent of his body after falling into a vat of hot water at the age of 7 at his home in rural Connecticut. While the recovery process was painful and tedious, the experience greatly influenced his belief in restoration instead of alteration as the most effective way to obtain beautiful skin.

After graduating from Brandeis, he earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He finished his dermatology residency at Harvard Medical School and completed a plastic surgery program at the Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv, followed by time at the St. John’s Institute of Dermatology in London. He has been in private practice in Beverly Hills for more than 30 years.
