Brandeis Alumni, Family and Friends
Five reasons not to miss Alumni Weekend next month
September 9, 2025
Come back to reconnect with old friends, leaf-peep some peak foliage, and learn from renowned faculty.

Picture it: You’re back on Brandeis’ campus, strolling across the Great Lawn while frisbees sail overhead, as you head to a thought-provoking presentation by a renowned professor. Afterward, you meet up with friends to share laughs, chat about what you’ve just learned, and enjoy the crisp fall air against the backdrop of peak fall foliage.
This scenario isn’t just a memory from your college days. You can relive all this and more at Alumni Weekend from Oct. 24-26. This year’s edition offers something for everyone, including activities for Reunion classes, shared interest and identity groups, and all alumni.
Here are five reasons you won’t want to miss it:
1. Go back to class (without the exams)
Alumni College is your chance to be a student again, this time with zero homework. These engaging, interactive sessions are led by renowned Brandeis faculty and prominent alumni, and cover everything from history and politics to arts and culture. All curious minds are welcome.
2. Enjoy a beloved barbecue tradition
The Ralph Norman Barbecue is a can’t-miss tradition. Think good food, lively conversations, and classic backyard vibes. And this year, beloved Waltham staple Lizzie’s Ice Cream will be on hand with dessert – because what’s a celebration without ice cream?
3. Check out the Alumni Art Gallery
Step into a world of color, texture, and imagination at the Alumni Art Gallery’s newest exhibition, opening just in time for Alumni Weekend. The show features the stunning work of Tama Hochbaum ’75, Bekka Teerlink ’00, and Ally Sukay ’24.
4. Reconnect and reminisce
Whether it’s been a few years or 50, there's nothing like seeing familiar faces in familiar places. The memories are sure to come flooding back while new ones are just waiting to be made.
5. See what’s changed and what’s stayed the same
Take a campus tour, revisit your old dorm, and explore the new spaces that have popped up since your last time on campus. You’ll be amazed at how much Brandeis still feels like home.
Join us this October and make new memories at the place that started it all.
