Patsy Fisher Joins Brandeis as Vice President of Alumni Relations

June 18, 2013

F. Patricia (Patsy) Fisher, who has helped Dartmouth College establish one of the strongest alumni-relations programs in higher education, will join the Brandeis Office of Development and Alumni Relations as vice president of alumni relations later this summer.

Fisher will supervise the Alumni Relations teams on campus and at Brandeis House in New York. She will be responsible for the design and execution of programs and activities to encourage strong relationships between the University and our alumni.

“Patsy is an experienced alumni-relations professional who will help us further engage our more than 40,000 undergraduate and graduate alumni across the country and around the world,” said Nancy Winship, P’10, P’13, senior vice president of institutional advancement. “I am certain that our alumni will enjoy working with her.”

Fisher has held a variety of leadership positions at Dartmouth in the alumni relations and advancement fields over the course of 24 years, most recently serving as acting vice president of alumni relations.

As Brandeis begins to implement Fulfilling the Promise, the University’s new strategic plan, Fisher’s experience aligning alumni engagement activities in support of Dartmouth’s strategic plan will be invaluable. While at Dartmouth, she also led the functional integration of the Alumni Relations and Advancement divisions, the same model in use at Brandeis.

“Patsy is a proven leader who brings to Brandeis a deep knowledge of higher education and best practices in alumni relations,” said Trustee Adam Rifkin ’97, the president of the Brandeis Alumni Association. “We are looking forward to working with her to help Brandeis build programs to serve the diverse needs of our alumni population.”

Fisher earned her bachelor’s degree in history cum laude from Dartmouth and received her master’s from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. She has served on the Dartmouth Hillel Board of Advisors and is a member of the Handel Society of Dartmouth College.

She will begin work at Brandeis in September.
