The Parents Fund

When Brandeis parents invest in the University above and beyond tuition, it sends a strong message to the outside world about the quality of the institution. By making Brandeis a philanthropic priority, you are also investing in your student’s experience on campus and supporting the education of other deserving students.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the Brandeis Parents Fund; gifts of all sizes are appreciated. Gifts can be designated to specific academic departments, programs, clubs and sports teams. You may also choose to make a gift in honor of your student’s favorite professor or mentor, and we will notify your student on your behalf.

"Our family is honored to support such a wonderful community of learning." - Sharon Himeno,  P’20, P’24. Read her family's story here.

Parents Leadership Council

Parents who give at or above the $5,000 level are welcome to join the Parents Leadership Council (PLC).

PLC members have an enormous and lasting impact on Brandeis. Through their leadership and decision to make Brandeis a philanthropic priority, PLC members enable Brandeis to remain a top-tier university and maintain its commitment to academic rigor and access to higher education for all.

Opportunities for supporting Brandeis as a PLC member vary, and include but are not limited to:

  • Serving as Brandeis ambassadors for prospective and admitted students in their home communities at college fairs and other events, helping to build strong connections between current Brandeis families and new Brandeis families.
  • Facilitating professional connections through the Hiatt Career Center.
  • Attending the Annual PLC Breakfast event with the University President and other PLC members held during Family Weekend, and lending their counsel and support to help the University maintain its academic excellence.
  • Staying apprised of Brandeis news through periodic e-updates from the council co-chairs, and responding to invitations to volunteer.
  • Receiving special invitations to events on the Brandeis campus as well as those in their own region and around the world.
  • Inspiring other Brandeis parents to join the council and get involved with Brandeis.
