We serve the 100 undergraduate and 30 graduate alumni who live in the greater Houston area. Please return to this page to learn about exciting upcoming programs including, but not limited to, institutional and alumni speakers and authors, cultural programs, social and networking events, and activities for recent alumni and students.
The Alumni Club of Houston is seeking alumni volunteers to help get involved in our area. We are looking for alumni to join a steering committee to provide programming ideas and do general outreach to alumni in the area, as well as alumni hosts to open their homes for alumni and faculty speaker programs.
If you are interested in joining the steering committee and hosting or chairing an event, please contact club president Francyne Davis Jacobs '95 through this link.

Why has the news in the United States evolved into a primarily for-profit endeavor? How and why did the for-profit model change over the course of the last quarter century? What challenges and opportunities does the Internet pose to the traditional news model?
Professor Farrelly will explore these questions and the impact - both positive and negative - that the for-profit funding model has had on the quality of news production in the United States.
