The Brandeis Lawyers Network is a social, business, educational and professional group for undergraduate and graduate alumni with a legal background. The Brandeis Lawyers Network encompasses and supports the efforts of regional groups in Boston, Chicago, DC and New York City. Take advantage of networking with fellow Brandeisians who share a common educational experience and an active interest in law; share best practices; provide business referrals through the Brandeis lawyers’ directory; reconnect with former classmates; and mentor and provide career advice to fellow alumni and current students interested in law.     More than 145 alumni, families and friends of Brandeis gathered at the AMC Empire Theater in New York City's Times Square to view the award-winning movie "Marshall" and meet the film's screenwriter Michael Koskoff '63. ... Immediately following the film, he shared some background before taking questions from the audience. The event was chaired by the Alumni of Color Network, Arts Alumni Network, the Lawyers Network.

    Close to 75 alumni and friends attended an engaging panel discussion of what it takes to maintain a healthy work-life balance.... Greg Litt '96 hosted the gathering at his office at Skadden, Arps. Panelists Lois Friedman Roman '86, Rachel Schnoll '91, Wendy Stein '97, Pamela Weinberg '87 and Greg Litt '96 led the discussion, which was moderated by David Shapiro '85.

  • Boston-area Alumni Discuss Privacy and Cyber Security

    The Alumni Club of Greater Boston's Lawyers Network held a discussion about developments in privacy, data security and protecting client information.... The panelists were Dan Breen, lecturer in legal studies at Brandeis; Peter Corbett '73, P'05, director at Goulston & Storrs; Rick Olin '79, shareholder at GTC Law Group; and Sarah Ragland, compliance officer at Nixon Peabody. Cal Stein '04, partner at Barrett & Singal, served as moderator. David Morris '96, vice president and associate general counsel for TripAdvisor, hosted the event at the company's Needham headquarters.

  • Faculty in the Field with Professor Dan Breen

    More than 40 alumni, parents, students and friends attended the Alumni Club of South Florida's annual Faculty in the Field event, which was hosted by Samara '95 and Peter Bober at their home in Hollywood.... Legal studies Professor Dan Breen spoke about the history and legal implications of zoning codes and how they affect property owners and communities. Afterwards, attendees had the opportunity to share their own insights during an open discussion. Hollywood's Mayor, Josh Levy, and City Commissioner, Dick Blattner, were in attendance and participated in the discussion, along with immediate past Mayor and event co-host Peter Bober.
