Children's and Teen's Activities

While Parents are busy on Saturday evening at the Night in Para'deis reception and dinner, the Lemberg Children's Center is the place to be for children ages three to seven and the Usdan Game Room for children ages eight to thirteen. The theme will be Constructing Para'deis. There will be many activities that will provide a cooperative experience and lots of fun. The staff is led by Lemberg's Head Teacher, Katharine Braun-Levine '04. Children will construct a Shangri-La (using provided materials to build their own comfortable and dramatic spaces) and will have places to relax, read, listen to music, or engage in creative games and dances. Lemberg Hall is located next to the Castle and Usdan Game Room is near the cafeteria on the lower level of Usdan Student Center (in the site of the old bookstore). Staffing will be at least 1:4 (younger) and 1:5 (older) with many of the staff having certification by Mass EEC or DOE. Childcare arrangements must be made by May 8. A minimum number of registrants are required for Saturday's Constructing Para'deis. Lemberg Children's Center reserves the right to cancel this program if there is not sufficient preregistration by May 8. Childcare programming will run on Saturday, June 6 from 6:00-11:00 pm.  The cost per child is $40 and this includes dinner, snacks and all materials.  Please see the childcare registration form in this packet for additional details.

Hotel Room Childcare

Friday and/or Saturday childcare can be arranged for parents who want a "sitter" in their hotel or campus housing. The sitters are students (many work at Lemberg Children's Center). Though the arrangements are made privately between the caregiver and the parent, the Lemberg Children's Center will coordinate connecting parents with a sitter. Hotel Room Childcare arrangements must be made by May 8 to ensure a sitter; we cannot guarantee sitters after this date.
