50th Reunion 2006 Schedule of Events

Open House at the Home of Marge Grodner Housen '56

Arriving early? Marge Grodner Housen '56 has graciously opened her home in downtown Boston to members of the Class of 1956 who may be coming into town early. Drop by for a glass of wine before dinner, or for dessert and coffee after dinner, and catch up with friends. Directions will be provided upon receipt of your registration.

Visit Reunion registration where you will receive important information, including a detailed schedule and special Reunion goodies. Continental breakfast will be available.

University Archives Program

Join Brandeis University archivist Karen Adler Abramson '85, M.A. '94, for a unique program designed specially for your 50th Reunion. Take a stroll down memory lane in the University Libraries. Members of the library staff will illustrate Brandeis's rich history through archival materials and demonstrate how research technology has changed through the years.

This outstanding group of Brandeis professors will be joining this Class of 1956 program to present their exciting ideas. After the presentation, engage in a Q & A with the authors, followed by a book signing.

Senior Class Reception with University Trustees

The Class of 1956 is cordially invited to a reception with President Jehuda Reinharz, Ph.D. '72. Mingle with graduating seniors and trustees at this special gathering.

Add to Brandeis's history by becoming the fifth class to celebrate a 50th Reunion. The Class of 1956 official photograph will be taken promptly at 6:30 pm.

Voices of Brandeis

This is a performance you won't want to miss! The Brandeis theater group will treat you to a musical revue of songs and lyrics from your days on campus. This special treat is sure to rekindle many wonderful memories.

Gather with your classmates for a dinner party in the Faculty Club at Brandeis, followed by entertainment by your fellow classmates.

Gather to celebrate the lives and honor the memories of classmates who are no longer with us. Rabbi Allen Secher '56 will lead this special service, with liturgical musical accompaniment by Sandra Shea Fisher '56.

Fellow classmate Michael Walzer '56 is a professor at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. Join him in a stimulating discussion about war and terrorism.

Catch the bus to Commencement! We'll provide transportation from The Westin Waltham-Boston hotel to campus in time for a continental breakfast before you dress in a cap and gown to take part in the Commencement festivities with the graduates of 2006. You are invited to march in the procession and be introduced as the 50th Reunion Class to all Commencement attendees.
