Anita Hill to join Tony Goldwyn ’82 at Alumni Weekend to discuss activism in Hollywood

Anita Hill, University Professor of Social Policy, Law, and Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies, will join this year’s Alumni Achievement Award winner, the actor, director and activist Tony Goldwyn ’82, during Alumni Weekend for what is sure to be a lively and thought-provoking discussion about the role of activism in Hollywood.

Hill, who recently became the chair of the Commission on Sexual Harassment and Advancing Equality in the Workplace, and Goldwyn, a longtime advocate for greater diversity and equality in Hollywood, will appear together at Spingold Theater Saturday, June 9, immediately following Goldwyn receiving the Alumni Achievement Award.

“Alumni Weekend has so much to offer that is uniquely Brandeisian, like this engaging conversation between Anita Hill and Tony Goldwyn on a timely issue,” says Patsy Fisher, vice president of Alumni Relations. “Whether you’re coming back for a milestone reunion, to see friends from other years or favorite organizations, you will find so many opportunities to reconnect with Brandeis in your own way during Alumni Weekend.”

All Brandeis alumni are invited to attend Alumni Weekend, which will feature class reunions, opportunities to gather with friends from other years, organizations, clubs or shared-interest groups, as well as special events, like the discussion between Anita Hill and Tony Goldwyn and a special conversation with Professor and Nobel Laureate Michael Rosbash.

Register by May 25 to be a part of Alumni Weekend.
