    More than 30 alumni, parents, students and friends attended a Faculty in the Field event with Prof. Jonathan D. Sarna ’75, MA ’75 at Beit Shmuel in Jerusalem.... Professor Sarna spoke on the topic of "American Jews and Israel: Contemporary Questions, Historical Perspectives." His presentation was followed by a Q&A session with the audience. Jody Garfinkle ’80 chaired the event.

    Alumni and friends enjoyed an evening with local Brandeis authors Sharon Hart-Green '79, MA'83, PhD'96, and Nina Josefowitz '72, Ph.D., C. Psych.... The authors spoke about their experiences with the books they have each written and had published in the past year. Myra Kotkin Novogrodsky '68 moderated the discussion. Judi Shostack '78, immediate past president of the Alumni Club of Toronto, hosted the event at her home, complete with her famous muffins.

    Alumni, parents, students and friends gathered at The Arts Club on Sunday, 18 November for the Alumni Club of Great Britain's 31st Annual Thanksgiving Day Tea.... This year's programme featured American Studies Professor Tom Doherty, who shared insights from his new book, "Show Trial: Hollywood, HUAC, and the Birth of the Blacklist." The nearly 70 attendees included many of the incoming Midyear students who are spending the fall semester in London before coming to campus in January.

  • Montreal Alumni and Friends Gathering

    The first-ever Montreal Alumni and Friends Gathering was held at the home of Ali Mindel '93 and co-hosted with her cousins Gigi Cukier Sala '00 and Ashley Cukier '09. ... Mark Surchin '78, a Montrealer and the first Canadian to lead the Brandeis Alumni Association, welcomed the group virtually with a pre-recorded message that included some of his favorite Canadian Brandeis stories (go Habs!). The attendees were delighted to meet each other, hear updates from campus and learn about the Brandeis-Canada Endowed Scholarship. They look forward to more Montreal gatherings in the future!
