    The Alumni Club of Great Britain, in partnership with Shomrei Hadath Synagogue, welcomed Professor Jonathan D. Sarna '75, MA'75, to London for a Faculty in the Field event.... Professor Sarna, University Professor and the Joseph H. and Belle R. Braun Professor of American Jewish History, spoke about future trends in American Jewish life to a group of more than 35 attendees. Club co-president Josh Pines '96 chaired the event.

  • Alumni, Parents and Friends Greet President Ron Liebowitz in Israel

    More than 80 alumni, parents and friends attended an event in Tel Aviv to meet President Ron Liebowitz and his wife, Jessica.... Nicole Gilliat '08, Alumni Club of Israel co-president, welcomed the attendees, and Daniel Shapiro '91, U.S. ambassador to Israel, shared remarks before President Liebowitz spoke to the group and took questions. President Liebowitz was in Israel as part of a trade mission led by Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker.

  • Alumni Enjoy 29th annual Thanksgiving Day Tea

    Professors Eileen McNamara and Maura Jane Farrelly led alumni, students and friends in a discussion about the importance of serious journalism.... Drawing on examples from the U.S. presidential election and Brexit, they asked attendees to consider characteristics of both good and poor journalism and their impacts. The event was held at the Soho Hotel in London. Club co-presidents Maayan Amitai '07; Anant Jani '03, MS'03; and Joshua Pines '96 served as event chairs.

  • Alumni in the Field: An evening with jewellery designer and goldsmith Tamara Kronis '95

    Goldsmith, gemologist and jewellery designer Tamara Kronis '95 hosted more than 20 alumni and friends at her Toronto custom fine jewellery studio, Studio1098, for the Alumni Club of Toronto's first Alumni in the Field event.... Following Tamara's talk and demonstration, the group gathered across the street for a happy hour at The Quail and Firkin. The evening was organized by club president Judi Shostack '78.
