Please join us for a majestic cruise along the Grand Danube Passage, June 22 - July 6, 2016. This spectacular excursion will be led by professor Antony Polonsky, the Albert Abramson Professor of Holocaust Studies at Brandeis University.  Dr. Polonsky is the chief historian of the permanent exhibition of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.

About the Trip

Experience Eastern European culture, marvelous old-world capitals, ornate cathedrals and picturesque villages as you cruise the celebrated Grand Danube Passage for eight nights aboard the exclusively chartered MS Amadeus Silver. About Dr. Antony Polonsky

Antony Polonksky

Antony Polonsky is the Albert Abramson Professor of Holocaust Studies at Brandeis University and at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Until 1991, he was professor of International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He serves as chief historian of the permanent exhibition of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw and has been appointed to the International Historical Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi and Soviet Occupation Regimes in Lithuania.

He is chair of the editorial board of "Polin: Studies in Polish Jewry," author of "Politics in Independent Poland" (1972), "The Little Dictators" (1975), "The Great Powers and the Polish Question" (1976) and co-author of "A History of Modern Poland" (1980) and "The Beginnings of Communist Rule in Poland" (1981). He is co-editor of "Contemporary Jewish Writing in Poland: An Anthology" (2001) and "The Neighbors Respond: The Controversy Over the Jedwabne Massacre in Poland" (2004). His most recent work is "The Jews in Poland and Russia," Volume 1, 1350 to 1881; Volume 2, 1881 to 1914; and Volume 3 1914 to 2008 (Oxford, 2010, 2012).

Package pricing and air options

Tour package

Packages begin at $4,945 per person based on double occupancy, (land/cruise package only). Value Added Tax (VAT) is an additional $395 per person. *Single supplement is waived for solo travelers, limited availability. Deposit is $600 per person to reserve your space. Reservations received by December 1, 2015 receive a discount of $250 per person. Final payments are due April 8, 2016. Airfare is in addition to the tour package.
