During this hour-long interactive webinar, Joe Du Pont, dean of the Hiatt Career Center, will speak to parents about the career development process for college students and what you can do to help coach your student to successful career outcomes. In addition to taking questions from the audience, Joe will also share:
-The Hiatt Career Center's career development philosophy for students and alumni
-The current job climate and the value of a liberal arts education in the job search
-Destination data from Brandeis graduates within six months of graduation
-Career resources and timelines by class year, with specific emphasis on second semester seniors

About the Presenter: Joe Du Pont's career is a testament to the opportunities a liberal arts education can provide. Joe has taught high school, practiced corporate law in New York City and held a senior leadership position at Teach For America, in addition to serving as a senior staff member at the NYU Office of Career Services prior to joining the Brandeis community. Joe serves on the board of the National Assocation of Colleges and Employers, the leading source of information on the employment of the college educated, and forecasts hiring and trends in the job market; tracks starting salaries, recruiting and hiring practices, and student attitudes and outcomes; and identifies best practices and benchmarks.
