Cheer on Brandeis Basketball with fellow alumni at four locations

Brandeis Basketball Days alumni events will be held at Brandeis men’s and women’s basketball games in four cities this winter. Alumni, parents and friends are encouraged to come out in force to fill the stands and cheer for our teams.

In addition to campus and New York City alumni basketball events, which have been traditions for many years, Atlanta and Chicago are hosting alumni basketball events this year.

“This is a great opportunity to support our current teams and share your passion for Brandeis with other alums,” says Brandeis Director of Athletics Lynne Dempsey ’93. “Our players and coaches always appreciate the alumni support they receive at home and on the road, and this is a terrific chance for all alumni and families to cheer on the Judges.”

Lenny '79 and Amy Greenberg Bard '79 have served as event chairs of Alumni Family Basketball Day on campus for almost two decades.

“We love the day because it symbolizes all that is good about our community,” Amy Greenberg Bard says. “We have alums, current students and, hopefully, future alums. And everyone is there to mingle, meet one another and have fun. Of course, it is especially great when the Brandeis teams win.”

She is pleased to see that the tradition is spreading: “It is quite a compliment that other cities are modeling their event based on ours, which we have grown over 19 years, and we hope their clubs will embrace and grow it as well as ours has. The more cities, the more alums get to enjoy and connect.”

There will be special activities for alumni at each game.
