Hi everyone, I'm Michael Hofrichter. Since graduation, I've lived in Houston, married to Hannah Karesh from Class of 2005. We've got two young children and I've spent most of the last decade working in legal aid as either an executive director, operations director, or a staff attorney.

Michael Hofrichter:

But last year I switched employers and now I work for a case management software solution for legal aid and public defenders. Look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Monica Katz-Lapides LaBoskey:

Hi Brandeis, this is Monica Katz-Lapides LaBoskey from the Class of 06. It's so nice to see you all remotely, this very odd 15th reunion year. I live here in Oakland, California with my husband and my son, Sam, who's two and a half. I'm currently the managing attorney at Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach, which is a legal aid organization about 45, 46 years old now here in the bay area.

Monica Katz-Lapides LaBoskey:

We serve Asian Pacific Islander, Latinx and other minority and marginalized communities with free legal services. I work in all of our practice groups as the managing attorney, and really enjoy what I do. It feels really good to be giving back to, not just my local community here in Oakland and in the bay area, but also my Asian community as I am part Asian myself.

Monica Katz-Lapides LaBoskey:

In the last 15 years I went to law school and I moved back out to California in 2009, and I've been practicing law here ever since. I was in private practice in civil litigation for about 10 years before moving into non-profit work.

Monica Katz-Lapides LaBoskey:

In my free time I love to spend time with my family, we go to the farmers market, and to the playground and the park. And just enjoy seeing friends. I love to cook. I also work a lot with Brandeis. You may have seen my name on a few things, and am really enjoying working with Alana and Katherine on our 15th reunion this year.

Monica Katz-Lapides LaBoskey:

And I'm also on the board of the Oakland Youth Chorus, which is a local music program for youth in Oakland and East Bay California. Miss you all. I'm really sorry we couldn't be in person this year. Can't wait to see you all at our 20th reunion and look forward to catching up at our remote events. Bye.
