Friday, May 15

Reunion Registration
Visit Reunion registration, where you will receive important information, including a detailed schedule and special Reunion goodies.  Continental breakfast will be available.

10:00-11:00 am
Morning Mix and Mingle
Begin the celebration with friends and classmates who have just arrived on campus.  Reconnect and reminisce as you kick off this special weekend!

11:00 am-12:30pm
Gen. Ed. Us, Part 1: Recalling thy Past – From Brandeis into the Brave New World
Join classmates for a discussion about the impact of Brandeis on their subsequent interests, personal development, and significant life choices.

Enjoy a gourmet boxed lunch, prepared specially for the Class of 1959.

2:00-3:30 pm
Gen. Ed. Us, Part 2: Deeds of Thy Children – Personal Transformations
This discussion by classmates will concern the causes and results of forces that altered their personal interests, careers, and goals.

Socialize or take a tour of campus, visiting new campus buildings and re-visiting your favorite haunts.

Senior Class Reception with University Trustees
The Class of 1959 is cordially invited to a reception with President Jehuda Reinharz, PhD ’72.  Mingle with graduating seniors and trustees at this special gathering in the Shapiro Campus Center.

6:30 pm
Class of 1959 Photograph
Add to Brandeis’s history by becoming the eighth class to celebrate a 50th Reunion.  The Class of 1959 official photograph will be taken promptly at 6:30 on the steps outside the Shapiro Campus Center.

7:00 pm
Class of 1959 Reunion Celebration Dinner
Gather with your friends from 1959 for a festive dinner party in the Faculty Club, followed by a DVD of our Brandeis years made specially for us.

Remember the members of our class whom we have lost.  Recall their lives and their friendship.

Class of 1959 Goes Back to the Classroom!
Re-live your college experience.  We have scheduled a class with Catherine Mann, professor at the International Business School, who will lead a discussion on the current state of the economy.

12:30-2:00 pm
Lunch and Class Skit
Dine with classmates at this special rendition of Brandeis’s traditional Ralph Norman Barbecue, named for the university’s first photographer.

2:00-3:30 pm
Gen Ed Us, Part 3: New Worlds to Create – The Rest of Our Lives
Come full circle in this lively discussion that will focus on classmates overcoming challenges and facing the future, staying the course, going into retirement, or seeking other alternatives.

3:30-4:30 pm
Class of 1959 Bull Session
Continue the discussion in this informal encounter where you can speak your mind on whatever subjects you want to share and discuss.

Commencement Reception and Dinner
You are cordially invited to attend this reception and dinner with university trustees, honorary degree recipients, fellows, faculty and friends of the Brandeis community. This is a special evening you won't want to miss.  Recommended dress: cocktail attire.

Sunday, May 17

Commencement
Catch the bus to Commencement!  We’ll provide transportation from the Doubletree hotel to campus in time for a continental breakfast before you dress in a cap and gown to take part in the Commencement festivities with the graduates of 2009. 
You are invited to march in the procession and be introduced as the 50th Reunion Class to all Commencement attendees.
