At Reunion, Alumni of Color Network celebrates diversity at Brandeis

More than 50 alumni and students gathered on campus during Reunion for events organized by the Alumni of Color Network to celebrate more than six decades of diversity at Brandeis.

Friday's welcome reception featured remarks from Mark Brimhall-Vargas, Brandeis' first chief diversity officer, and Lisa Lynch, P’17, provost and Maurice B. Hexter Professor of Social and Economic Policy.

On Saturday morning, the Alumni of Color Network partnered with the Hiatt Career Center for a panel discussion and networking session. Jerome Frierson '07, Evelyn Tate '77, and Irene Wong '72 shared their career paths since Brandeis and offered advice about the power of networking. The weekend events were organized by Liane Hypolite '10, Natalie Johnson '07, Phi Le '12, Napoleon Lherisson '11, Jose Perez '75, Shakiva Pierre '07 and Tate.
